Who is Lauren J. Cantor?

Lauren J. Cantor is an accomplished educator with a distinguished career dedicated to enhancing student learning and fostering academic excellence.

She holds a Master's degree in Teaching and a Master's degree in School Building Leadership, in addition to a Bachelor's degree in English. Her extensive educational background is complemented by her recognition as a Fulbright-Hayes Scholar and her specialized training in the Orton-Gillingham approach, known for its effectiveness in teaching reading. She is currently utilizing Evidence Based Literacy Instruction, EBLI, to further support her students to build foundational literacy skills in reading, spelling, writing, and comprehension.

With a robust experience spanning various roles, Lauren has served as an International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator, where she adeptly managed and implemented rigorous IB programs to promote global-mindedness and critical thinking among students.

Her passion for communication and advocacy is evident in her role as a Speech and Debate Coach, where she has successfully guided students in developing their public speaking and argumentation skills.
