Bilingual Book Club
Grades 1-4
Through this four session book club, each session will alternate reading sessions in English and Spanish to incorporate fluency in both languages.
During each session, students will work on specific reading comprehension strategies:
Make real world connections
Develop the theme
Connect the setting to the mood or tone
Creating empathy with a character’s experience
Book clubs will meet for a total of four 45 minute sessions. Students will receive a hard copy of books both in Spanish and English.
